Our fully-accessible webinar system features a PowerPoint presentation (slides) given by one or more presenters and a text chat area for questions and comments.
If your site is using a single computer and a projector to present the webinar to multiple participants, one person should be designated to enter any comments and questions in the text chat area of the webinar system.
IMPORTANT: Before the webinar, download Webinar Plug-In & test computer connection to Webinar System .
On the day of the webinar, a captioner transcribes the webinar information as it occurs. A customizable interface via the Internet displays the captioning and provides a text chat area to enter questions or comments (which the captioner will forward to the presenter).
Two (2) or more business days before the webinar, captioning instructions will be emailed to each Site Coordinator (the person who pre-registered for the webinar).
On the day of the webinar, you can open the captioning in a second window of your web browser and place this window on top and in the corner of the window with the webinar system, or set-up another computer with a projector to view the captioning.
IMPORTANT: Before the webinar, test computer for compatibility with Real-time Captioning.
Site Coordinator: We refer to the person who submits an online registration form for a webinar before the registration deadline as the “Site Coordinator,” even if he/she is the only person at that location. Site Coordinator Instructions will be emailed 2 or more business days before the webinar date with important information, such as the captioning link and education credit requirements.
Materials and the PowerPoint presentation will be posted and may be downloaded from the event page of the Employer Webinar Series website, after registration closes and two or more business days before the webinar date. Materials are available in various accessible and alternate formats, including Webpage(s), PowerPoint, Large-Print, Microsoft Word, Text, and PDF. A Site Coordinator may wish to download, copy, and distribute the webinar materials to each participant prior to the webinar.
A Transcript and Audio Recording will be posted on the event page of the Employer Webinar Series website within 2-3 weeks after the webinar date.
Education Credit (CEU & CRCC): Many webinars offer the opportunity for continuing educations units (CEU credit) and clock hours for Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC credit).
Each person who seeks CEU or CRCC credit must have an Account Login or create New Account that will be used to access and submit a CEU or CRCC Request; this same Account is used to register and seek credit for each event.
